An Army gynecologist at Fort Hood, Major Blaine McGraw, is charged with illegally recording patients during examinations. He allegedly used a hidden camera at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, involving 44 women, the U.S. Army Office of Special Trial Counsel said, as reported by Fox San Antonio.
As reported by CBS News, McGraw faces 54 specifications of indecent visual recording, five counts of conduct unbecoming of an officer, one count of willful disobedience, and one for making a false official statement. A civil lawsuit filed in Bell County District Court by a victim, identified as Jane Doe, accuses McGraw of inappropriate touching and examinations unrelated to medical care. According to her attorneys, he allegedly sent nurses away or excluded them from appointments to facilitate the misconduct.
The military has contacted about 3,000 former patients to identify potential victims. McGraw faces charges for alleged incidents between January and December 2025 and is in pretrial confinement. No hearing date has been set.
After the allegations surfaced, McGraw was suspended on October 17. On December 2, he was taken into custody for allegedly violating his release conditions and is being held at Bell County Jail in Belton, Texas. His attorney, Daniel Conway, told CBS News that McGraw was “fully cooperative with the investigation.”
