
Governor Greg Abbott recently appointed members to the Texas Crime Stoppers Council. Perry Gilmore, Ph.D., will continue his service, and Jeff Jordan joins as a new member. Their terms run through September 1, 2029.
Perry Gilmore of Amarillo has 47 years of experience in law enforcement, including roles as a part-time civilian staff member and reserve police officer. He holds degrees from Sam Houston State University, West Texas State University, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Northcentral University, according to gov.texas.gov.
Jeff Jordan of Kyle has a diverse law enforcement background, including service in the Marine Corps and the Hays County Sheriff’s Office. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Texas Municipal Police Association, and other organizations. Jordan also serves as executive director of the Hays County Crime Stoppers Association, chairs Hays County Brown Santa, and volunteers with Sunshine Kids Hill Country Adventure, according to the Governor’s office.
Governor Abbott appointed Gilmore and Jordan to the Crime Stoppers Council, which certifies local programs and provides expertise to strengthen crime prevention and public safety in Texas.
