A Las Vegas family is grappling with the loss of approximately $70,000 worth of belongings after a brazen burglary that took place just before the Thanksgiving holiday. The break-in, which was captured on home surveillance, occurred around dusk on November 19, leaving the homeowners devastated and seeking the public's help to recover their prized items.

The burglary was executed by an individual who appeared to be well-acquainted with the home's layout and where to locate valuable items. In the footage, the suspect can be seen donning a mask, sunglasses, and gloves, adeptly moving cameras out of view to obscure his actions. One family member lamented, "My mom lost this Rolex she’s been keeping for like 20 years, and she just like felt so sad when she lost it because it was the only thing she ever cared about," as per an interview obtained by News 3 Las Vegas.

Among the stolen goods were highly sought-after designer pieces including a Birkin bag, a Rolex watch, and a collection of designer bags from marquee brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. "Channel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, everything felt so unreal. Everything felt so heartbreaking," a family member conveyed to News 3 Las Vegas. The family, who chose to remain anonymous for safety concerns, believes they were specifically targeted due to the thief's familiarity with their home and possessions.

The residents of the "really safe" neighborhood were understandably shaken by the incident, now feeling a heightened sense of awareness over their personal security. "These past two weeks, I was more aware of my surroundings, like when I was driving, Is anyone following us?" a family member expressed in a statement to News 3 Las Vegas. Despite a police report being filed and the public call for assistance, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have yet to make any arrests in connection to the burglary.

The family hopes that by sharing their ordeal, someone with information might come forward to aid law enforcement in tracking down the perpetrator. As a family member heartfully pleaded, "Please help find this suspect, because um it’s just a very unfortunate thing that happens to us," in an interview with 8 News Now.
