Local Table, the Houston-born family restaurant chain, is set to plant its flag in Missouri City this January, marking its sixth Greater Houston location. The new spot will move into Township Square at 3434 FM 1092 Road, sliding in alongside the concept’s five existing area restaurants and adding another family-focused dining option to Fort Bend County just as the calendar turns.
According to Community Impact, the Missouri City location is slated to open by Jan. 1, 2026 and will join five other Local Table restaurants already operating across the Greater Houston area. The outlet also lists the address of the new restaurant as 3434 FM 1092 Road in Township Square.
Family Ties And Hungry's Connection
The Local Table concept comes from the same family behind popular Mediterranean cafe Hungry's. Brothers Shervin and Neima Sharifi teamed up with Hungry's co-owner Ashkan Nowamooz and his brothers to launch the first Local Table in 2016, building on the family’s existing restaurant chops. As reported by What Now Houston, Neima confirmed that the growing eatery is headed to Missouri City next.
Missouri City Space And Neighborhood Fit
CultureMap reports that the Missouri City restaurant will span roughly 6,700 square feet and feature a semi-private dining room, an outdoor patio and a mural by Houston artist Shelbi Nicole. In a statement to CultureMap, Shervin Sharifi said, "Every Local Table location is born from the community around it - our guests shape who we are," framing the Missouri City outpost as tailored to its new neighborhood.
Menu And Family-Friendly Features
Local Table’s menu mixes Mediterranean favorites like the Falafel Bowl and Gyros Plate with Southern comfort picks, including fried chicken and slow-braised short rib, while also highlighting plant-based options. On weekends, brunch service leans into the occasion with mimosas, mimosa flights and a wide-ranging brunch lineup, according to the restaurant's online menus. (Local Table.)
Township Square And The Local Context
Township Square has undergone an investment-driven refresh in recent years, pulling in new tenants and upgraded parking, changes local reporting says have made the plaza more appealing to restaurants looking for a suburban home base. Those improvements help explain why a family-oriented brand like Local Table chose the center for its next expansion, according to coverage of the redevelopment. (Community Impact.)
The company already lists Missouri City among its coming locations but has not yet pinned down a firm opening date. Local outlets report that an official ribbon-cutting and service date are expected to be announced in the weeks ahead. For now, fans of the brand will have to keep an eye on the restaurant’s site and local coverage for the exact January opening details.
