A Macomb County man stands accused of multiple felony charges after an armed robbery incident at an Eastpointe business earlier this month. Anthony Terrell Patterson, 47, of Clinton Township, reportedly entered the establishment on Dec. 5, brandishing a handgun and forcing patrons and staff onto the ground before robbing them.
During the incident, Patterson allegedly took money from five employees and two customers, along with a driver's license and debit card, before fleeing the scene. According to ClickOnDetroit, he was later apprehended and arraigned yesterday, facing charges that include seven counts of armed robbery and eight counts of felony firearm.
As reported by FOX 2 Detroit, Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido commented on the gravity of these crimes, stating, "All of these charges reflect our commitment to holding offenders completely accountable for their actions to the fullest extent of the law to ensure justice and safety for our businesses, their patrons, and the community as a whole."
Patterson, who is also charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of possessing a firearm as a prohibited person, has been denied bond and remains in custody. The upcoming court dates include a probable cause conference on Jan. 6, 2026, and a preliminary examination is set for Jan. 13, 2026, as obtained by CBS Detroit. Additional charges may be brought against Patterson as the investigation progresses.
