Deputies say a man was shot and killed Monday evening inside the Venti Apartments in northwest Harris County, turning a stretch of the 14300 block of Ella Boulevard into an active crime scene. Harris County Precinct 4 deputies described it as a "live shooting scene" as they flooded the area with patrol units while emergency crews worked on the wounded man. Medics transported the gunshot victim to a local hospital, and officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
Precinct 4 Posts Live Update From The Scene
According to Harris County Constable Precinct 4's Facebook post, deputies called the location a "live shooting scene" and urged the public to stay clear while they worked. The post also asked for prayers for the victim and pointed residents to the precinct's Facebook page, Instagram @constablepct4 and the "C4 Now" mobile app for continuing updates.
Victim Transported; Homicide Investigators Working
Local outlet FOX 26 Houston reported the shooting was first called in around 5:30 p.m., and that deputies arrived to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, where officials later told FOX 26 he was pronounced dead at about 8 p.m. The station reported that the suspect had already fled before deputies got there, and that homicide detectives with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are now leading the investigation.
This Stretch Of Ella Boulevard Has Seen Previous Shootings

Local outlets have also documented other incidents on Ella Boulevard, such as a June 2025 shooting that left one person injured, according to ABC13 Houston. Together, those reports highlight ongoing public-safety concerns in this stretch of north Harris County.
