Looking ahead, Tuesday will bring colder temperatures with a high near 27°F and a 20% chance of snow before midnight. Wednesday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow. New Year’s Day is forecast to be frigid, with sunshine and highs around 14°F. The NWS notes, “A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9.” Residents should prepare for a cold end to the year.

Although spotter activation is not required, residents in Milwaukee and surrounding areas are advised to stay alert to rapidly changing winter weather conditions as they prepare for the week ahead.
