Raleigh introduces two new fitness classes designed to accommodate a range of workout goals. The classes expand the city’s exercise options for both high-intensity and strength-focused training in a calm setting. The City of Raleigh has announced "ParkFit HIIT," a hybrid workout that starts indoors with a warm-up and moves outdoors for a circuit of high-intensity stations. ParkFit HIIT is designed to help participants kickstart their fitness routines. Sessions are $14 each and will take place at the Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center on the first Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. and the third Sunday at 9 a.m., starting on February 2026.

Also introduced is “Lake Johnson Jacked,” a class designed to help participants build muscle and develop effective training techniques. According to the city's release, the class emphasizes "resistance bands, suspension trainers, and bodyweight exercises" to target all major muscle groups. Sessions are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. and the fourth Sunday at 9 a.m., with a $14 fee per session.

The Tuesday Night Yoga class at the Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center will continue as scheduled. As per the city's release, the class focuses on "reduce stress, improve strength, and support alignment" through stretching and flowing movements. Six-week sessions are priced at $61 for residents and $76 for non-residents, with classes held every Tuesday evening starting January 6, 2026.

Registrations are open through RecLink, and spots are limited.
