
A disturbance at a restaurant on NE 69 Ct. in Redmond, Washington, on Sunday prompted a police response after a man allegedly shoved staff, yelled, and tried to enter a private area of the business. The situation continued outside when the suspect was reported to have banged on the restaurant’s windows, as reported by the Redmond Police Department.
Redmond police located the man nearby and attempted to detain him, but the encounter escalated when he resisted. The Redmond Police Department stated that “The suspect initially failed to comply with verbal commands and reached for a pocketknife,” leading officers to physically subdue and arrest him.
According to the Redmond Police Department on their Facebook page, officers arrested a man after a search found he was carrying a knife and prohibited metal knuckles. Police stated, “Officers also discovered he had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.” He was booked into jail on charges including 4th-degree assault, and police barred him from the restaurant for one year.
