
Gregory Thorn was sentenced to 35 years to life by Judge James Arguelles after being convicted of sexually assaulting a female passenger on Sacramento's light rail on May 16, 2024. The attack involved forcible genital penetration with a foreign object and indecent exposure, compounded by Thorn’s prior convictions for robbery and battery with serious bodily injury, according to the Sacramento District Attorney's Office.
The victim reported the assault the following day after Thorn persistently violated her personal space and body, both on and off the train. The jury found Thorn guilty on August 7, with the conviction reflecting the severity of his actions and his criminal history, as reported by the Sacramento District Attorney's Office.
