Shark Tank-backed dessert outfit Crispy Cones is bringing its rotisserie-grilled dough cones to Montgomery County, with the brand’s first Greater Houston storefront headed for Conroe’s Homestead Plaza. The shop is slated for a roughly 1,356-square-foot space at 2200 N. Frazier St., Ste. 135, and is expected to debut in spring 2026 following a winter buildout, serving its hand-rolled, cinnamon-sugar cones packed with soft-serve and rotating toppings.
Project documents list the buildout under the name "Crispy Cones Conroe." A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows construction is set to kick off Jan. 19, 2026, and wrap up by Mar. 19, 2026. The record cites a 1,356-square-foot footprint, an estimated $225,000 budget, and Brian John Patrick, Inc. as the owner, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Franchisee Brian Patrick has confirmed he will operate the Conroe location, which will mark Crispy Cones’ first Greater Houston shop and its fourth in Texas, according to What Now Houston. That outlet also notes the chain has grown to nearly 30 locations across multiple states.
Roadside Roots And A Shark Tank Boost
Founder Jeremy Carlson first started slinging chimney-cake-inspired cones from a roadside tent in Rexburg, Idaho, before the concept ever saw the inside of a strip center. Crispy Cones later secured an investment from Barbara Corcoran after a 2023 appearance on Shark Tank, with the national TV spotlight helping spark franchise interest and paving the way for multiple franchise sales, Food Republic reports.
What To Expect From The Menu
The concept centers on hand-rolled dough cones cooked rotisserie-style, then coated in cinnamon sugar or specialty powders, layered with spreads, and finished with premium soft-serve and sauces. Crispy Cones’ website currently highlights gingerbread as its specialty cone and features a lineup of weekly rotating soft-serve flavors and toppings, according to Crispy Cones.
Local coverage and permit filings indicate construction is expected to begin in January and finish in March, putting the Conroe shop on track to join a still-small Texas roster that includes recent openings in North Richland Hills and Plano, per Community Impact. Exact opening dates and operating hours will be announced after the franchise completes its buildout and releases an official grand opening notice.
For now, Conroe residents can pin the Homestead Plaza address and expect a spring 2026 arrival as the project moves from permits to active construction. Hoodline will update readers once an official opening date or any preview events are announced.
