Looking to spread some holiday cheer in Upper Arlington? You'll have the chance to play Santa's helper this year, thanks to the local fire division's toy drive. In an effort to provide children with a brighter holiday season, the Upper Arlington Fire Division is joining forces with Firefighters 4 Kids, as they have previously, hosting a drive‑thru toy collection this coming Saturday, December 13. The event is meant to gather new, unwrapped toys for local kids aged 0-12, with the drop-off point set at Fire Station 72, located at 3861 Reed Road, from 9 am to 3 pm.
Amidst the buzz of the upcoming festivities, bringing joy to others is often what resonates most deeply with the community spirit. The holiday toy drive, a staple in Upper Arlington's seasonal do-goodery, not only offers a chance to declutter your space of unused toys but, more importantly, offers a child an unexpected joy. The social media post by the City of Upper Arlington, Ohio - Government encourages residents to "give the gift of a smile this holiday season," reinforcing the belief that the collective effort can indeed make a significant impact on the emotional well-being of children in need.
The initiative's success hinges not just on the volume of toys collected but on the quality of items donated—gifts that should stir the imagination and bring forth laughter and happiness. Organizers are stressing the importance of choosing new, unused items to ensure safety and a sense of dignity for the recipients, as used toys may not meet current safety standards or could be perceived as less thoughtful. According to a Facebook post by the City of Upper Arlington, Ohio - Government, participants can "join us in helping Santa make this season brighter for kids and families throughout Central Ohio."
