Las Vegas import Pinkbox Doughnuts, the chain known for oversized, over-the-top pastries and unapologetically pink décor, is officially on its way to northern Utah. The company has circled January 17, 2026, for the grand opening of its American Fork shop, complete with a doughnut-eating contest and family-friendly activities. The debut will be Pinkbox’s first northern-Utah location after its earlier move into southern Utah.
Grand-Opening Plans
Pinkbox is treating opening day in American Fork like a full-scale party. The shop is set to host a full-day celebration that includes giveaways and a competitive doughnut-eating contest, giving locals plenty of reason to swing by even if they are not usually into early mornings or frosting. In a statement to KSL, owner Stephen Siegel said, "Our commitment has always been to do it right, not rush it," emphasizing that the company is taking its time with construction, permitting and staff training ahead of the launch.
From Vegas To Utah
Pinkbox launched in Las Vegas in 2012 and has since grown into a regional operation with more than a dozen locations across Nevada along with out-of-state shops, including a St. George store that opened in 2022, according to Pinkbox Doughnuts. The company highlights its whimsical, pink-heavy interiors and a rotating lineup of inventive flavors that are designed to be both family-friendly and social-media-ready.
Where The New Shops Will Sit
In American Fork, Pinkbox is moving into the building that previously housed a Zaxby's near the Main Street exit off I-15. The chain has also confirmed a Sandy location on State Street that it is aiming to open in the summer, as reported by KSL. Company leaders told the outlet they plan to stagger openings so that permitting and staff training are squared away before each new shop begins serving customers.
What To Expect Inside
Inside, customers can expect the full Pinkbox treatment: bright pink interiors, oversized novelty toppings and a broad menu that stretches from classic glazed to seasonal specialty creations. The company describes its Utah concept as a whimsical, family-friendly experience and notes that select locations operate 24 hours, with hours and menu details varying by shop, according to Pinkbox Doughnuts.
American Fork residents can watch for more event details and community partnership announcements as January approaches. The chain has said it prefers a deliberate approach to Utah growth rather than rushing new stores, a strategy local customers should see reflected in the American Fork debut next January.
