Las Vegas Motor Speedway is getting ready to swap roaring engines for booming shells in early 2026, when the International Fireworks Championship brings a global pyrotechnics showdown to the desert on Feb. 21. Instead of a single high-altitude blast, organizers are promising a full night of tightly choreographed “pyromusicals,” with international teams competing for a world title and a marquee world-record attempt lighting up the infield. Early-bird tickets are already on sale, and thousands of spectators are expected to pack into the speedway grounds for the show.
Tickets went on sale Wednesday, with early-bird prices starting at $95 for general admission, $144 for reserved seating and $318 for “Lux Lounge” VIP packages. Organizers say those prices include parking and fees but not sales tax, as reported by the Las Vegas Review‑Journal. According to the outlet, luxury suites and other premium viewing options are also on the table for fans who want a prime vantage point, and tickets are being sold through fireworkschampionship.com.
The competition is being staged by Blast! Events, a family-run pyrotechnics outfit that says it is bringing the International Fireworks Championship to Las Vegas after staging recent editions in Traverse City, Michigan, according to the organizer’s site. Blast! Events also notes that the evening will kick off with a world-record attempt designed by Spanish fireworks veteran Ricardo Caballer, who is known for massive, music-driven displays.
What To Expect
Organizers have lined up four international teams, each set to launch a 12 to 15 minute pyromusical display, with roughly 15 minute entertainment breaks in between. Gates are scheduled to open at 2:30 p.m., the first fireworks segment is expected to start around 6 p.m., and the finale should wrap up by about 8:30 p.m., when judges will crown a world champion, according to the Las Vegas Review‑Journal. The format is billed as a lower-to-the-ground, high-intensity show that syncs every burst to music for a full sensory experience.
Where To Watch And Logistics
The event is slated to unfold on The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which offers enclosed suites and a large, lighted paddock area that organizers can use for upgraded viewing areas and hospitality, according to the track’s site. Las Vegas Motor Speedway regularly hosts large concerts and fireworks shows and advises guests to arrive early to navigate parking and traffic whenever a major event is on the calendar.
Vegas As A Stage
Las Vegas has been steadily pitching itself as a year-round destination for big-ticket spectacles and synchronized fireworks displays, a trend the city’s tourism arm highlighted in December when rolling out plans for holiday and New Year’s programming. The region’s built-in marketing machine and hospitality footprint, from arenas and casino rooftops to the speedway itself, gives promoters multiple ways to sell premium viewing spots to both tourists and locals, according to a release from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
For now, organizers say tickets and VIP packages are being handled through the event’s ticketing page, with more details on the lineup to come. As the Feb. 21 date gets closer, expect additional team announcements, maps of the viewing zones and safety information to roll out for anyone planning to spend their evening watching the sky over the speedway light up.
