Attention Fairview Park residents and commuters: beginning January 5, 2026, West 210th Street will be closed to through-traffic between North of Lorain Road and South of Center Ridge Road. The closure, scheduled daily from 7 AM to 6 PM, is part of the Cleveland Water lead service line replacement project. This work is expected to extend through March, causing significant impacts on local traffic patterns.

Drivers who normally traverse West 210th will need to quickly adapt and find alternative routes. Thru-traffic, along with RTA bus lines, is being detoured to West 220th Street (Spencer Road) and Wooster Road. According to the city's announcement available on the Fairview Park website, "The Westgate Shopping Center and Bohlken Park will be inaccessible from the W 210th entrances."

School buses will continue to operate as usual without detours. For residents of W 210th St. and Circlewood Drive, driveway access will be maintained. The city has assured that emergency services will have access to the area during the construction period. Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co., the contractor handling the project, will notify residents regarding temporary access closures.

Signage indicating detours will be posted at key intersections, including W 210th St. & Lorain Rd and W 210th St. & Center Ridge Rd, as well as adjoining streets. To manage traffic flow on alternative routes, the city's police department will be conducting traffic enforcement on "cut-through" streets. The city asks for "patience while improvements are made to our City," as stated on the Fairview Park Website.
