Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. announced that 20-year-old Frederick Green has been indicted in connection with a shooting outside a Midtown restaurant in November of last year. According to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, Green is charged with attempted murder, assault, and possession of a weapon.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on November 16, 2025, outside Sei Less on West 38th Street, following a dispute between two groups. During the second of two physical altercations, 20-year-old Frederick Green allegedly shot a 29-year-old man, who was with friends at the time.

The victim was struck in the groin and abdomen by one of the two shots fired by Green, resulting in a bullet fragment lodging in his lung. After the incident, Green fled to Buffalo, where he remained until his arrest on December 8, 2025. Reports indicate that Green attempted to escape through a window as law enforcement approached but was quickly apprehended.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Shilpa Kalra and John Logan, under the supervision of Assistant District Attorney Erin Tierney and Executive Assistant District Attorney Lisa DelPizzo. Trial Preparation Assistants Juliana Bosrock and Peter Ferrari, along with Major Case Analyst Isabel Long, also contributed to the case.

District Attorney Bragg acknowledged the role of the NYPD, New York State Police, and the United States Marshals in apprehending the suspect. Detective John Tuohy of the Midtown South Precinct Detective Squad was also specifically recognized for his work on the investigation.
