A recent assault in Central Park has left a 69-year-old woman with a fractured elbow, after being attacked by two young males, police officials reported. According to PIX11, the woman was shoved to the ground from behind during a stroll near 106th Street and East Drive at approximately 4:30 p.m. on November 30, 2025. The suspects are believed to be two boys, one around 14 or 15 years old, and the other, seemingly a pre-teen, aged around 10 or 11 years.
After the incident, the senior was treated at a local urgent care for her injured left elbow, the New York Police Department confirms. The older of the two suspects was last seen wearing a gray GAP sweatsuit, along with white and black sneakers. The younger one sported a gray hoodie, black jacket, with black pants and white sneakers. The NYPD has released photos of the older boy, in an effort to help identify the assailants.
In connection to this attack, the NYPD has requested public assistance to identify the young suspects, as revealed in FOX 5 New York. Both boys have been described as slim and of dark complexion. Anyone with information on the case has been urged to contact the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline or to submit tips online. All calls are expected to be treated as confidential.
Central Park has come under scrutiny once more, this time due to a violent encounter which has yet to result in any arrests. Notably, a few days after Christmas, a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the same park, however, the police have not made any arrests in that case as well, as stated by PIX11. The names and current whereabouts of the suspects involved in the attack on the elderly woman remain unknown.
