A San Antonio man is headed to prison for four decades after a botched home invasion in Adkins turned into a fatal shooting in May 2022, leaving 29-year-old Corwin Davis dead. On Friday, Visiting Judge Laura Parker of the 175th District Court sentenced Seth Little to 40 years, and prosecutors say his separate theft and robbery convictions will run at the same time. Little’s alleged accomplice, Malyk Jason, is due to learn his fate next week.
The sentence was handed down in Bexar County’s 175th District Court, where Assistant Criminal District Attorney Madeline Flosi led the case, according to News 4 San Antonio. Victim advocate Helen Yruegas and investigator Albert Lopez worked alongside the prosecution. Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales said in a statement that “Today’s sentencing reflects our office’s commitment to pursuing justice for all victims,” according to the outlet.
The deadly break-in happened in May 2022 at a home in the 11700 block of Loop 107 in Adkins, where Little and others forced their way inside, reportedly targeting a large stash of marijuana and cash, the San Antonio Express-News reports. Court records and witness accounts reviewed by the paper describe several intruders dressed in black and wearing ski masks storming the house before gunfire erupted. One person inside managed to flee and ran to a neighbor’s home for help.
Detectives spent months piecing together the case, eventually using trace evidence and cell phone data to identify suspects. Authorities arrested Little and Jason in 2023, in what officials described as a cold-case breakthrough, according to KSAT. Sheriff Javier Salazar said investigators connected the Adkins killing to other crimes through forensic work and noted there may still be additional persons of interest.
Sentence, co-defendant and what comes next
Little was convicted of murder, along with two unrelated charges of aggravated robbery and theft, and the judge ordered all of the prison terms to run concurrently, News 4 San Antonio reports. Jason, his co-defendant, is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 23, and prosecutors say they are not ruling out more arrests as the investigation continues.
According to the San Antonio Express-News, the gun allegedly used to kill Davis was later linked to other shootings and robberies, a key detail that helped detectives connect leads across multiple cases. Officials say that mix of physical evidence and digital records ultimately gave prosecutors what they needed to secure this month’s convictions.
