A Baltimore County softball coach has been federally indicted on multiple charges related to child sexual exploitation. According to WBALTV, Michael Joseph Pusateri, 59, of Nottingham, faces several grave accusations extending from text communication to physical sexual encounters with a minor.
Between April and August 2025, Pusateri allegedly engaged in a series of illicit acts which included sending sexually explicit texts, developing a physical relationship with a child victim, and even coercing the minor to perform and record sexual acts for his possession, he even asked the minor to meet him at local businesses parking lots to engage in sexual acts; these claims are brought forth by the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office and sourced from court documents. Additionally, the indictment suggests Pusateri manipulated the minor through grooming tactics, with Pusateri having not only sent messages but also explicit images, some of which contained photographs of his genitals.
Pusateri, who is already embroiled in separate legal challenges after a previous arrest in September 2025 for rape and child pornography charges, now contends with the possibility of life in prison if found guilty of the coercion and enticement charges, as reported by WMAR-2 News. His indictment also includes charges of receipt and possession of child pornography with a potential sentence of up to 10 years. The gravity of these charges reflects the severity of the criminal behavior he is accused of perpetrating.
