The Community-Wide Available Rentals website, a practical tool designed by the Family Resource Network (FRN) for Boulder County residents, has quickly become an essential resource in their search for rental homes. According to Boulder County, the platform has hit a notable milestone, surpassing 11,000 visits just one year after its launch, reflecting the substantial need for such services in the community. The site lists more than 300 rental homes in various Boulder County locales, aiming to simplify finding suitable housing for budgets across the board.
Colin McCaffrey, an advocate at Sister Carmen Community Center, acknowledged the website as an indispensable instrument for those attempting to navigate the competitive housing market. "The webpage makes it easier to guide participants through Boulder County's challenging housing market," McCaffrey told Boulder County. Renters, advocates, and case managers alike have come to trust the site for up-to-date information on available accommodations.
Local landlords and property managers contribute listings to the site, which is kept up-to-date through a collaborative effort between Boulder County Human Services and Housing departments, Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA), Outreach United Resource Center (OUR Center), and Sister Carmen Community Center. The combined efforts of these organizations ensure that information is both current and accessible for those in need.
Jessica Ramirez Gurrola, Bilingual Housing Support Specialist with Boulder County Housing, praised the website for its efficacy. "We used the website to help a family of four move from a hotel into a safe, affordable home in just two weeks," said Gurrola, as per Boulder County. The site facilitated quickly finding relevant rentals and enabled a seamless connection with a landlord for the family in question.
