Dunedin Marina has become the new host for monthly safe boating courses, aiming to bolster nautical responsibility and safety knowledge among Florida's boaters. These educational sessions are a combined effort of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11-10, offering insight into vital boating safety practices and Florida's boating laws.
Aspiring and experienced sailors alike are encouraged to take part in the Boat America Safe Boating Course conducted at the Harbor Master's Building within the area of Dunedin Marina. On successful completion, participants will not only gain invaluable safety skills but also receive their Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Safe Boating ID card. According to a social media post by the City of Dunedin Florida - Government, these courses are fashioned to broadly educate people belonging to all age groups on safe and responsible boating.
The announcement details that the educational sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. across two consecutive days, Saturday and Sunday, with both days' attendance being necessary. The schedule lined up for these sessions includes upcoming dates such as today and tomorrow, February 7–8, March 14–15, and April 11–12.
