In a display of persistent detective work, Harris County Precinct 4 deputies cracked a theft case involving a high-value golf cart. The incident, reported stolen on Wednesday, in the 12000 block of Perry Road, resulted in the arrest of one Robert Lee Hale. During an investigation, deputies surveilled footage and questioned witnesses, which led them to identify Hale as the suspect.
Reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4, the management initially detailed that an unknown white male had filched the 2021 EZ-GO Elite L6 golf cart, worth nearly $20,000. Misplaced in confessions, Hale provided an oral one and directed deputies to where the golf cart was hidden, thus facilitating its recovery.
The case, which underscored the effectiveness of the deputies in Constable Mark Herman's Office, reached a resolution when Hale was apprehended. He was subsequently charged with theft and driving while his license was invalid, placing him behind bars to await further legal proceedings.
Constable Herman, as quoted on the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 post, affirmed, "Robert Hale was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft and Driving While License Invalid. His bond was set at $7,500.00 out of the 209th District Court." Offering a glimpse into his work, an intensive investigation was conducted by deputies to locate the golf cart and bring the perpetrator to justice.
