Attendance at city events reached 134,635, including activities such as outdoor concerts and educational workshops.
Over the past year, 232,512 senior nutrition meals were provided. In addition, 3,063 children were enrolled in youth enrichment programs. The Sports and Recreation Department hosted 3,715 games, with 6,673 participants taking part in various athletic activities.
“Every number represents a resident who engaged, learned, connected or received support,” Henderson City Manager and CEO Stephanie Garcia-Vause explained, highlighting that these impressive figures are more than just data points, they're touchstones of a robust community framework that undeniably contributes to Henderson’s reputation as an incredibly healthy, safe, and active locale, where park benches and trail markers are just as much part of the local culture as the neon lights are a car ride away in nearby Vegas, according to the City of Henderson.
With more than seventy years of history, the City of Henderson continues to support community wellness through accessible outdoor spaces and diverse programs. These efforts have a measurable impact on residents and contribute to the city’s recognition at local and national levels.
