A driver with a spree of vehicular chaos was arrested after striking multiple vehicles and leading deputies on a harried chase, local authorities reported. The incident, which occurred last Friday, began when officers from Constable Mark Herman’s Office observed a Ford F-550 with expired registration and an incorrect license plate, attempting to initiate a traffic stop that led to a pursuit.
As reported on the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 page, during the flight, the driver, identified as Casey Harris, refused to stop, subsequently hitting the side mirror of a Ford bus near FM 1960 and Walters Road. Continuing to a Walmart parking lot, Harris's vehicle collided with an occupied parked vehicle, promptly fleeing without stopping to render aid.
Harris then re-entered the roadway, struck another vehicle's side mirror, and kept accelerating his escape until it ended at the intersection of Louetta and Kuykendahl Road, where he collided with two additional vehicles before finally being apprehended by the deputies, the Facebook post detailed.
Upon capture, it was unearthed that Harris had an active felony warrant from Harris County for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and the Ford F-550 was confirmed stolen out of Montgomery County. "Casey Harris was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading and two counts of Fail to Stop and Render Aid. His total bond was set at $90,000.00 out of the 248th District Court," detailed the Facebook post by Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
