Midtown Ala Moana just scored a new all-day hangout. Midtown Eats, the food hall on the ground floor of The Park on Keeaumoku’s Liona Tower, quietly started serving during a soft opening this week and is gearing up for its grand opening celebration on Saturday. The 12-vendor lineup leans heavily local, with indoor and outdoor seating aimed at nearby residents, office workers and anyone looking to graze their way through the neighborhood. Organizers are planning family-friendly keiki activities as part of the weekend festivities.
Grand opening, hours and family activities
The Park on Keeaumoku says Midtown Eats will officially celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, with hours running from 10 a.m. to midnight and keiki activities scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., following a staggered soft-opening period earlier this month. According to The Park on Keeaumoku, the food hall occupies an 11,200-square-foot dining space on the Liona Tower’s ground floor and includes a full-service bar.
Vendors to know
Midtown Eats is opening with a roster that reads like a mini tour of Honolulu’s comfort food scene: FEAST by Jon Matsubara, Sadie’s BBQ Honolulu, Serg’s Mexican Kitchen, Soul Chicken, Mangiamo Gelato, Miss Nguyen, King Thai Cuisine, Ninja Sushi, Boba-Bing!, Middle Eats, Hatsuhana and K Park Bar, among others. As reported by Aloha State Daily, some vendors are easing in with limited menus during the soft opening, while others are using the hall to roll out brand-new concepts.
Parking and location
For those driving in, customers can access the parking garage from the building’s Liona Street entrance and park on floors 1 through 2.5, with validated parking available, according to KITV. Midtown Eats sits just north of the Keeaumoku Sam’s Club and Walmart, putting it within easy walking distance of the busy Midtown Ala Moana corridor.
What it means for Midtown Ala Moana
The food hall anchors the street level of The Park on Keeaumoku, a mixed-use development with roughly 972 residential units spread across two 44-story towers, and is expected to help boost daytime foot traffic in the area. The Park’s promotional materials frame Midtown Eats as both a built-in amenity for residents upstairs and a destination dining spot for the broader public, according to The Park on Keeaumoku.
