Country music is setting its sights on small-town America with Kid Rock's "Rock the Country" music festival, marking America's 250th anniversary with an eight-stop tour, one being in Hastings, Michigan. According to FOX 2 Detroit, the Barry Expo Center in Hastings will play host to the tour on August 8-9. No stranger to headlines, Kid Rock and Jason Aldean are set to headline the Michigan leg of the tour, joined by a varied lineup of performers including Brantley Gilbert and Uncle Kracker.
With the festival making waves not just for its music but also for its nod to American history, tickets are expected to fly as fast as the founding fathers signed the Declaration—they go on sale tomorrow. WZZM 13 lists an impressive roster, including Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and even genre-crossing additions like Ludacris and Nelly, promising a diverse experience for festival-goers.
The Lansing State Journal highlights the festival's community spirit, quoting Nathan Baugh, CEO & partner of Peachtree Entertainment, saying, “Bringing Rock The Country back to Hastings in 2026 feels especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.” The festivities are not only about the music; they're also tied to the sense of connection and comfort, with options for camping and hotel bundles, ensuring fans can enjoy a weekend of melodies and memories.
Beyond the music and the quaint small-town charm, there’s a palpable sense of making history. Fans can choose from general admission and VIP passes, with exclusive discounts honoring first responders. Each stop—before and after Hastings—features star-studded performances, with slightly varied lineups at every location, highlighting the festival’s dedication to delivering grand shows in intimate settings and giving fans nationwide a taste of the celebration.
