Las Vegas unveiled a new artwork at the Civic Center titled "The Night We Met," with Mayor Shelley Berkley, Councilwoman Olivia Diaz, and artist Krystal Ramirez attending the ceremony on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at 525 S. Main St, according to the City of Las Vegas.

The sculpture combines neon elements with iconic Sarno breezeblocks, designed by Jay Sarno, stacked into two curved walls that reflect both Vegas’s architectural heritage and modern flair. Ramirez, a Nevada resident and UNLV alum of over 35 years, created the piece to celebrate the city’s vibrant aesthetic and history, as reported by the City of Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Civic Center has added Ramirez's sculpture and the Carolyn G. Goodman Plaza, a community space for events, located between Main Street, Goodman Way, First Street, and Bonneville Avenue. A new 2,400-square-foot gallery opens with the "Family Album" exhibit, created with the Las Vegas Museum of Art and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The city provides information about the Civic Center’s public artworks on its website, as stated by the City of Las Vegas.
