Las Vegas police have arrested a man linked to a series of commercial burglaries across the city. On December 21, multiple businesses in the Las Vegas valley reported forced entries and the theft of merchandise and cash.
The crime spree continued when the burglar struck again on December 23, with incidents in northwest Las Vegas and North Las Vegas adding more offenses to the suspect's record. Surveillance footage from the affected locations confirmed that the individual involved in these recent incidents was the same person identified in the December 21 burglary.
Through diligent police work, which involved a range of investigative methods, the suspect was identified as 27-year-old T'Shawn Allen. After the additional burglaries were reported on December 23, Allen was apprehended, charged with multiple offenses, and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. His alleged criminal activities include 10 counts of second-offense burglary of a business, 2 counts of attempted business burglary (also second offenses), and 12 counts of property destruction, with damages ranging from $250 to $5,000.
Instances of commercial burglaries have raised concerns within the local business community, leading to discussions about public safety and policing. With the suspect in custody, authorities are working to address the recent series of criminal activities that affected many business owners. For more information about the case or the burglaries, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department published a detailed report yesterday.
