Residents of Lewisville have been presented with a detailed glimpse into their police department's activities, thanks to a recent social media post that gives a numeric breakdown of December 2025's law enforcement interactions. The Lewisville Police Department has publicized its stats, including calls for service and various crime categories. In total, there were 5,942 calls for service, of which 162 were crimes against persons, and 307 were crimes against property.
Lewisville's streets saw a flurry of blue and red lights with the police conducting 1,048 traffic stops over the course of the month, leading to 950 citations and 122 warnings issued. The pursuit of traffic law enforcement was relentless, with 38 incidents involving drivers operating their vehicles while intoxicated. Meanwhile, the presence of 279 vehicle collisions, including 126 collisions that involved injuries, underscores the persistent challenges faced by both the public and policy enforcement in maintaining safety on the roads.
The monthly report also documented comprehensive arrest numbers, which in December stood at 260. These figures, though stark, are nothing but numbers on a page without the accompanying context of daily life in Lewisville. They are a cold ledger of happenings in a community where each number represents a story, a person, a family affected by the act that gave rise to the entry in this bureaucratic tally.
