An indictment has come down on three individuals accused of operating a commercial sex enterprise out of a Marysville massage parlor, according to a release from the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. Dubbed Healing Garden Massage, or Massage Relaxation Station, the parlor has been the focus of an 18-count felony charge unveiled by the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force.
Named in the indictments are Anthony Tignor, 58, Fang Hu, 53, and Shunying Li, 61. Charges against this Marysville trio include engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, money laundering, promoting prostitution, and practicing medicine without a license. A full list of charges can be found at the Attorney General's website.
Tignor and Hu were apprehended and taken into custody on Tuesday and are now housed at the Tri-County Regional Jail. Li is yet to be located. The indictment also specifies that certain assets may be forfeited as a result of the additional specifications against the indicted parties. The Union County Prosecutor’s Office is spearheading the prosecution in this case.
The Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, under which these investigations take place, is a collective of local and national law enforcement agencies. The task force includes the Columbus Division of Police, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the FBI, among others, as detailed in the Attorney General's news release. Despite the serious nature of the allegations, it is a tenet of our justice system that defendants are considered innocent until proven otherwise.
Ohio's ongoing battle against human trafficking can involve reports from the public. Individuals can call (844) END-OHHT, text "ENDOHHT" to 847411, download the END OHHT app, or submit information online if they suspect instances of human trafficking. For more details, those interested can visit the official website provided in the news release by the Attorney General's office.
