
A fatal two-vehicle collision during severe winter conditions claimed the life of a 54-year-old Morrice woman this morning in Burlington Township, Michigan. The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office indicated that deputies responded at around 7 a.m. to the crash site on M-60 near 9 Mile Road, where icy roadways with snow drifts contributed to the tragic event, as MLive reported.
According to statements made to WZZM 13, while the identity of the deceased woman is being withheld pending family notification, the crash involved another individual who was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident. M-60 was subsequently closed for multiple hours to facilitate an in-depth investigation by the authorities. The road has since been reopened to traffic.
