
Tragedy struck in South Baltimore as a late Thursday shooting at Hollinswood Park shopping plaza claimed the life of a man and left two others wounded. Authorities were alerted to the incident at around 9:35 p.m., as reported by FOX Baltimore. The first responders on the scene found a man, whose age is yet to be disclosed, who succumbed to fatal gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead at the location.
The gruesome discovery was followed by the identification of two additional victims, a 24-year-old man and a 38-year-old man. In an effort to preserve their lives, they were quickly transported to an a local hospital. Details surrounding the shooting are still scant, and the condition of the hospitalized men hasn't been publicly shared.
In the wake of the violent outbreak, a significant portion of the shopping plaza turned into an investigation field as detectives gathered evidence. Officers could be seen placing orange cones around three main clusters of cartridge casings, according to FOX Baltimore. They also brought in a specially trained dog that led them to evidence that had previously gone unnoticed.
That particular location is not unfamiliar with such bloodshed. It is merely steps away from where 13-year-old Montrell Mouzon lost his life on Halloween night four years ago. Although the number of murders in Baltimore had, thankfully, decreased from 309 in 2018 to 133 in 2025, as detailed by CBS News Baltimore.
As for the recent shooting, the Baltimore Police Department has not made any arrests and is urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid the ongoing investigation.
