According to the Raleigh Police Department's social media post, this initiative yielded a substantial sum of 157 charges and included 9 DWI arrests, signaling a clear effort by local agencies to clamp down on impaired driving.
The department's concerted endeavor, while praising the collective exertion of the involved agencies, noted the operation's wider impact with 11 drug violations, 2 firearm seizures, 2 open container violations, as well as citations for 5 instances of careless and reckless driving, and 15 cases of driving with a revoked license, this diverse array of infringements illustrates the broad scope of the enforcement's reach; traffic stops, in particular, culminated in a notable total of 116 during the patrol. Furthermore, there were 23 individuals cited for speeding violations reinforcing the message that law enforcement is keeping a vigilant eye on various traffic offenses beyond just driving under the influence.
