Westminster's routine traffic enforcement took a turn into a major drug bust narrative, following a seemingly mundane stop for a tint violation. On the afternoon of Wednesday, deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office halted a Kia Sedona toting a temporary Virginia plate for a tint violation and failure to heed a traffic signal, WBALTV reported. The encounter occurred on Baltimore Blvd, where the flow of cars ceaselessly carries on its beats from Baltimore County into Carroll County, as unaware of the underworld currents as the sky is of the teeming life in the depths of the sea.

Identified by authorities were the driver, 28-year-old Tremaine Gordon Eugene Bishop, and his passenger, 24-year-old Robert Lee Johnson III, both hailing from Baltimore County. Following their stop, initiated by PACE (Pro-Active Community Enforcement) Team members around 12:46 p.m., an ensuing K-9 scan delivered a positive alert, signaling the presence of narcotics, FOX Baltimore reported.

During the diligent search of the car and those within, officials uncovered and seized what was suspected to be 31.2 grams of cocaine, another 13.2 grams of fentanyl, alongside six cell phones, a digital scale, materials used for drug packaging, and a sum of $931 in cash.

Both Bishop and Johnson were arrested and subsequently charged with seven drug-related offenses, remaining jailed without bail at the Carroll County Detention Center, as official sources confirmed.
