
Early Thursday morning, Seattle police apprehended a 47-year-old man after residents reported a shooting incident at an apartment building. The man is accused of using a pellet gun to fire at the building, resulting in a 44-year-old male tenant suffering an injury to his thigh. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, the damage to the property included a shattered front window of the residential complex located in the 2100 block of 3rd Avenue.
Responding to the emergency call around 12:40 a.m., patrol officers quickly arrived at the scene. The injured man managed to point out the suspect to the authorities as the perpetrator allegedly attempted to re-enter his vehicle, as detailed by the SPD. Police acted promptly to detain the suspect for further investigation. They also succeeded in recovering the weapon described as a large, realistic-looking gun.
The suspect, whose past includes convictions for felonies, faces charges of assault, reckless endangerment, property damage, and aiming/discharging a firearm. As the investigation unfolds, the case has been assigned to detectives within the Gun Violence Reduction Unit, as noted in the incident report referenced as number 2026-13593 by SPD. Following the incident, the suspect was booked into King County Jail.
