Green thumbs and community spirits are set to converge in South Euclid later this month. In an announcement that is sure to excite local gardeners and neighbors looking to connect, the City of South Euclid has disclosed plans for a National Seed Swap Day event that promises not only free seeds but also a chance to share in the collective wisdom of the community. The gathering, open to all, is scheduled for Saturday, January 31 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the City Hall Community Room, 1349 South Green Road.
Hosting the event is Kate Chapel from the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District, with support from South Euclid's Department of Parks & Recreation. According to a social media post by the City of South Euclid, attendees are invited to "bring your seeds to swap" and to eagerly engage in "meet neighbors and connect." The post further elaborates, the event will be an opportunity to "share tips and ideas" and "learn from Kate's expertise."
Those interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance through the city's online event registration platform. The event is not only a chance for residents to procure new seeds for the coming planting season, but also serves as a platform for exchanging horticultural knowledge and fostering community engagement.
