Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a partnership with the Department of Justice’s Procurement Collusion Strike Force to fight corruption in government contracts. "I’m partnering with President Trump as a member of his DOJ’s Procurement Collusion Strike Force to combat bid rigging and other anticompetitive practices that harm Texans," he said, according to the Office of the Texas Attorney General.

The initiative aims to detect, investigate, and prosecute illegal activities that affect public contracts at federal, state, and local levels. Paxton will collaborate with federal partners, including the FBI and U.S. Attorneys’ Offices, to protect taxpayer dollars and ensure fair competition, as reported by the Office of the Texas Attorney General.

Texas Attorney General Paxton’s Antitrust Division is working with the Procurement Collusion Strike Force to address procurement fraud, such as bid rigging and price fixing, that affects public funds and government contracts. State and local agencies that suspect such practices are encouraged to contact the Antitrust Division at [email protected]. More information on the task force’s activities and results will be shared publicly over time, as stated by the Office of the Texas Attorney General
