Tiger Woods' mini golf empire is taking a bigger swing at the Austin area, with PopStroke set to open a second local location in Cedar Park in 2026. Company and permitting documents describe it as a ground-up build that will top the size and programming of the brand's recently opened North Austin spot.
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction on the Cedar Park site kicked off in November 2024, and the project's review record now lists an updated completion date of April 1, 2026. The filing outlines a new 13,000-square-foot facility with an estimated cost of about $5.8 million, 37 outdoor mini-golf holes, and an outdoor children's playground.
Bigger Than The Pitch
PopStroke opened its first Austin venue at The Pitch in North Austin last fall, then began describing Cedar Park as the full-scale version, with indoor and outdoor dining and multiple courses. In a company announcement tied to the Tech Ridge opening, PopStroke said the Cedar Park location would arrive in the first half of 2026 and flagged plans for a full-service restaurant and two 18-hole putting courses, details PopStroke made public when it rolled out its Austin plans.
What Will Be On Site
Local planning notes and reporting indicate the Cedar Park build is slated to go well beyond putting greens, with an ice cream parlor, a beer garden stocked with foosball and other lawn games, private event rooms, and family play areas in the mix. Those amenity details first surfaced while the city was weighing the proposal, and Austin Business Journal highlighted the conceptual elements in early coverage of the project.
At PopStroke's grand opening in North Austin, CEO Greg Bartoli said he hoped to open the Cedar Park location "early next year," comments recounted in local coverage of the launch. MySA cited those remarks from the debut event.
PopStroke launched in Florida in 2019 and started expanding more aggressively after landing investment from Tiger Woods' TGR Ventures and TaylorMade Golf Company, a growth arc revisited in local reporting on the Austin move. Eater Austin detailed the brand's origin story and its early Texas plans.
Guests at the Cedar Park location can likely expect the chain's tech-forward touches, including electronic scoring, on-course ordering through a mobile app, membership plans, and multiple food and drink outlets. In its rollout materials, PopStroke says memberships include unlimited mini-golf and discounts on food and beverages across locations.
Cedar Park city records show officials signed off on the use permits for the larger entertainment project last year, and local reporting notes the venue is intended to add dining and nighttime options to the suburb's growing leisure scene. MySA reported that it reached out to PopStroke for comment on the updated schedule and that the company did not immediately provide additional details, according to MySA.
