Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Noah Hanifin has been chosen to represent Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina. FOX5 Vegas reports that teammate and forward Jack Eichel will also join the roster, with the Games marking Hanifin’s Olympic debut.
This season, Hanifin has played 28 games, recording 14 points with two goals and 12 assists, according to the Golden Knights’ official statistics. He averages 23:36 of ice time per game, second on the team behind Shea Theodore’s 24:01. In Wednesday’s game against Nashville, Hanifin set a career high with 29:59 of ice time.
Before his Olympic selection, Hanifin represented the U.S. in the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, according to FOX5 Vegas. The team lost to Canada in the championship game, but Hanifin brings prior international experience, including three IIHF World Championships and two IIHF World Junior Championships, to the Olympic stage.
Team USA will begin its Olympic campaign on February 12 against Latvia. With Hanifin, a Boston native with extensive international experience, on the roster, the team’s defense will be reinforced for the matchup.
