It was a bustling week for the White Settlement Police Department, as chronicled in a recent social media post that detailed a whirlwind of activities. Officers kicked off the week by providing support for Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's visit as part of the Arsenal of Freedom Tour at Lockheed Martin. The department gained additional recognition when it made the cover of "Police Chief" magazine for its community trust programs, signaling a significant nod from the global law enforcement community, according to the White Settlement Police Department.
In the same week, the local PD's outreach extended to education and youth, marked by a visit to the White Settlement I.S.D. special programs' "JETS" basketball practice. Engagement with young minds continued with providing a tour to the Brewer High School Law Enforcement Club, illustrating the department's commitment to fostering the next generation of law enforcement officials. The officers didn't stop there; they appeared on "On Patrol: Live," highlighted during the "Be On The Lookout" segment that focused on a recent ATM burglary attempt.
White Settlement's PD staff milestones featured dispatcher Kim Podsednik, who earned her Intermediate Telecommunicator Proficiency Certificate, and dispatcher Sarah LeGrand, who completed her Basic Telecommunicator Licensing Course. Meanwhile, the community felt the sentimental weight of Corporal David Streif's final retirement radio call, marking a poignant transition in the department's history. The communications team also published the Winter edition of the Blue Line Bulletin, rallying spirits within the force.
