Williamson County is opening the floor to its residents with two public information sessions centered on the upcoming Justice Complex Project, according to an announcement on the county's website. Scheduled for Jan. 15 and Feb. 18, the sessions are slotted to run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the EMS North Campus, located at 3189 S.E. Inner Loop, Georgetown. These come-and-go events encourage the public to interact directly with project planners, without the structure of a formal presentation.
With the recognition that existing facilities have run out of room to properly expand, the Justice Complex Project emerged as a solution to accommodate the Justice Center and jail's growing requirements. Kitchell, the program manager hired in July 2025, reported to the Commissioners Court highlighting the necessity for new developments to satisfy future needs, an assertion underscored by the project's urgency to move forward.
Input from the community is deemed essential in shaping this project. The Williamson County invites comments and questions, urging constituents to take advantage of the opportunity to voice their thoughts during these sessions. After the meetings, materials presented will be made available online for further public inspection and discourse.
For those unable to attend, the county remains open to hear feedback. Residents are welcome to send their comments directly by emailing [email protected] at any time. Moreover, detailed information regarding the Justice Complex Project can be found on the county's web page, which includes updates and future plans pertaining to this significant civic initiative.
