A Baltimore man led police on a harrowing chase after ramming an officer's cruiser in a brazen attempt to evade arrest, authorities reported. According to FOX Baltimore, the incident unfolded last Saturday when an Automated License Plate Reader System flagged a blue 2022 Porsche sedan at around 11:25 a.m. The car was linked to Trevian Christopher Davis, a 33-year-old individual from Baltimore with outstanding arrest warrants.
The pursuit began after the officer located the vehicle on Fort Smallwood Road, near Marley Neck Road. The driver, Davis, quickly engaged in evasive maneuvers, trying to outrun the officer. As reported by The Bay Net, a family alerted the same officer about a near miss with the Porsche, indicating that the suspect was driving recklessly through the area. Soon after, Davis intentionally crashed into the police cruiser, causing significant damage and leading to his temporary escape from the police.
Davis's attempt to flee didn't last long; after crashing his Porsche in the 6400 block of Fort Smallwood Road, he tried to escape on foot. However, authorities, aided by the Real Time Information Center, were quick to respond and apprehend Davis. Davis now faces multiple charges, including assault on a police officer, as mentioned in the FOX Baltimore report.
Further legal proceedings saw Davis being held without bond. A hearing yesterday confirmed that he would stay in custody awaiting trial on charges of second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property valued under $1,000, and failure to obey a lawful order, The Bay Net detailed.
