The big buses have a new home base on Jacksonville's Westside, as Daimler Coaches North America cut the ribbon Tuesday on a new roughly 43,000-square-foot delivery, service and office complex. The city is calling the project the company's new headquarters and says it will house corporate offices, multiple service bays and a dedicated training center.

On its official Facebook page, the City of Jacksonville shared photos from the ceremony and described the site off Pritchard Road and I-295 as Daimler's new home, noting the building's floor area and features. According to the City of Jacksonville Facebook post, city leaders joined company representatives for the ribbon-cutting and photo ops.

Inside the new center

According to Daimler Truck, the facility totals 43,700 square feet and will include about a 16,000-square-foot shop, a two-story administration building and a dedicated training and delivery center. It sits on an 11.9-acre site with room for more than 100 coaches.

The company says the Jacksonville location will handle pre-delivery inspections and install North American components on Mercedes-Benz Tourrider motorcoaches. The goal is to standardize deliveries and customer service for operators across the continent, with the Westside center acting as a finishing and support hub.

Site, permits and partners

The city issued a $15.47 million building permit in May 2025 for ARCO Design/Build to develop the predelivery inspection and service center at 7215 Jones Branch Circle, near Pritchard Road and I-295, according to Colliers.

The parcel changed hands in December for about $4.9 million, the Jacksonville Business Journal reported, and project materials list Brookwood Capital Partners as the investment partner on the deal.

Why it matters for Jacksonville

Daimler has framed the new center as a way to centralize final assembly and service support for its North American motorcoach business, which the company says will speed up deliveries and improve after-sales support for operators, per Daimler Truck. That centralized setup, paired with quick interstate access, is cited as the rationale for choosing the Westside site.

City photos show officials and company representatives lined up for the ribbon-cutting, with the city's post underscoring that Daimler has picked Jacksonville as the new home for this operation. For more images and captions from the event, check the City of Jacksonville Facebook post.
