Houston robbery detectives are turning to the public for help tracking down two men who, police say, walked into a business in the 12600 block of Bissonnet Street on Feb. 5 acting like regular customers, then threatened staff and made off with cash and merchandise. The pair left quickly, and as of now, no arrests have been announced in the still-active investigation, listed as HPD case 164618-26. Investigators have released surveillance stills and clothing descriptions in hopes that someone in the community recognizes the suspects.
Details released by detectives
According to a post by Houston Police Robbery, the two men entered the store on Feb. 5, posed as customers, then left with money and store items. Detectives attached the case number HPD 164618-26 and are asking residents to look closely at the surveillance images to help put names to the faces.
To jog memories, investigators shared specific clothing details from the video stills. One suspect was described as wearing a white-and-beige jacket with the hood up, dark pants, dark shoes, a red backpack and a beanie. The second was said to be wearing a white-and-red shirt with a grey hood, a dark jacket with yellow stripes, dark pants and light-colored shoes.

Bissonnet corridor context
The Bissonnet corridor has been on HPD’s radar repeatedly in recent months, with law enforcement and local outlets noting a pattern of robberies and illegal-gaming locations that make cases more tangled for investigators. Just days after the Feb. 5 robbery, a security guard was fatally shot inside an alleged illegal game room on the 7000 block of Bissonnet, a case reported by Click2Houston that further highlighted safety concerns for businesses in the area.
Anyone who recognizes the men, their outfits or has relevant footage from that time is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or contact the Houston Police Robbery Division. Detectives ask that tipsters reference HPD case 164618-26 so investigators can quickly connect any new information to this specific robbery.
