Houston-area rapper That Mexican OT took the kind of hit you usually only hear about in his lyrics on Saturday, when a bull flipped him into the air during a rodeo exhibition at Third Coast Bucking in Rosenberg. The rapper, known for his viral track "Johnny Dang," was tossed hard and slammed into the dirt, yet video from the event shows him eventually walking away and later hitting the stage for his scheduled performance that night.

Footage from the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds captures the bull’s first strike launching OT several feet, followed by a second jolt that sends him crashing back-first into the arena floor. He still went on to deliver a roughly 30-minute set afterward, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Third Coast Bucking event blended classic rodeo action with a concert lineup featuring Paul Wall and That Mexican OT, and ticket information listed the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds in Rosenberg as the venue. Local TV outlets and news sites quickly picked up the dramatic clip, with KVUE sharing video of the moment, while event listings on ticket platforms backed up the date and location.

Not His First Rodeo

This was not OT’s first close encounter with a bull. Last May he was struck during a PBR-affiliated "Midnight Bullfight" in Fort Worth, an incident that also went viral, according to Uproxx. Those wild moments have helped build his image as an artist who folds rodeo stunts into his shows, and fans have repeatedly saluted his toughness online.

Social feeds filled up with reactions after the Rosenberg hit, and OT later posted his own black-and-white edit of the bull collision set to "Ave Maria," the Chronicle reports. Organizers did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and there were no reports of serious injury following the show.
