Timothy Jensen was arrested Monday in New Braunfels by the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, authorities said. Deputies took Jensen into custody without incident and transported him to the county adult detention center for booking and processing. He was wanted on two active warrants alleging indecency with a child and exposure.
In a press release, the sheriff’s office said its fugitive unit located and arrested Jensen and moved him to the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center for processing, an account later published by MyTexasDaily. The release did not include additional details about the alleged incidents.
How Deputies Say They Closed In
The arrest follows a departmentwide push to track down fugitives accused of crimes against children, a priority Sheriff Joshua Ray announced last year. KSAT reported that Ray directed fugitive teams to concentrate on child‑exploitation cases and that those units have been active across the county.
Charges and What They Mean
Under Texas law, indecency with a child covers either sexual contact with a person under 17 or exposing genitals to a child. The statute treats contact as a second‑degree felony and exposure as a third‑degree felony, according to Justia, which publishes the full statutory language and penalties.
Booking and What Happens Next
Jensen is being held at the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center pending court proceedings and will be processed through the county booking system. The jail's public information notes that arrested persons are processed, photographed and magistered at the county facility, and detention information is maintained by the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office.
