Where this fits in a violent February
This killing lands in the middle of an already violent stretch for the city. It comes just days after a Feb. 15 double homicide on the north side, reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. That outlet noted Milwaukee had logged 11 homicides for 2026 as of Feb. 16, a troubling pace so early in the year.
As of the most recent update from WISN 12 News, police had not announced any arrests and investigators were still working the scene. Detectives continue to urge anyone with information to contact Milwaukee police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
