In Fayette County, Pennsylvania, the Everson Borough council president has been embroiled in a legal controversy after being accused of stalking the assistant police chief. According to a report by WPXI, Jason William Frazier, 43, faced charges yesterday following the discovery of an Apple AirTag device hidden in the official police cruiser of the assistant police chief.
Frazier, who also serves as the community's emergency management coordinator, has been identified as the owner of the AirTag in question. The local council, which Frazier presides over, was scheduled for a meeting on the same day the charges were made public; however, the meeting was abruptly canceled.
Additionally, the Fayette County District Attorney, Mike Aubele, confirmed that Frazier was charged with stalking, obstruction, and harassment. In a revelation by Pittsburgh's Action News 4, Frazier is alleged to have attempted to prevent Apple from complying with a search warrant aimed at releasing information to the detectives investigating the matter.
Details surrounding the motives or circumstances leading to Frazier's alleged actions have yet to be disclosed to the public.
