
A late-night blast at a west-side San Antonio construction site sent a worker to the hospital Friday, after what officials described as a small explosion involving a generator. The San Antonio Fire Department rushed to the 3800 block of Wiseman Boulevard around 10:20 p.m., where one person was treated and transported with possible life-threatening burn injuries. Crews remained at the site while investigators worked to figure out exactly what happened, as reported by KENS5.
What officials said
According to KENS5, fire officials described the incident as a possible generator explosion and said one person suffered serious burns. The department told the station the blast occurred at about 10:20 p.m. and that the victim's condition was still unknown as of late Friday. Firefighters secured the area while investigators began combing through the scene.

"There was possibly a minor explosion of a generator," fire officials told KENS5. Crews worked to control any remaining hazards and clear debris, while medics focused on stabilizing and transporting the injured construction worker. Investigators had not yet disclosed what might have sparked the blast.
