Midland residents and stakeholders, mark your calendars for a significant community meeting. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be hosting a public open house on March 4, designed to openly discuss a substantial infrastructure project set to improve the arteries of Midland's roads. Specifically, the conversation will orbit around a $27 million investment aimed at updating the M-20 and US-10 Business Route (BR).
The session will allow attendees to engage directly with MDOT staff and contractors, ask questions, and receive detailed project information. It offers an opportunity for local business owners and residents to provide feedback and influence the project, reflecting the department’s commitment to community engagement.
The open house will take place at Midland City Hall, 333 W. Ellsworth St., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The project will rebuild roadways, improve nonmotorized pathways, and install modern traffic signals, among other upgrades.
Individuals needing assistance are encouraged to contact Orlando Curry at 517-241-7462 or [email protected] at least five business days before the event. With the project set to begin in spring, likely in March, weather permitting, this open house is an important opportunity for Midland residents and workers to provide input.
